solving roofing problems for 30 years...
Health and safety is central to everything we do at Surface Protection Coatings Ltd. It influences the way we think, the way we plan, the way we behave and ultimately the way we perform.
We also put a lot of time and effort into our training and environmental policies so we know that our staff are highly trained with any new techniques and that all our procedures are current and meet, and exceed, industry standards.
Surface Protection is dedicated to providing the highest possible standards of Quality and Safety for all of its customers. Our Quality policy is supported by a fully documented quality management system based upon the requirements of the International Standard for Quality, ISO 9001:2018. An accreditation we are proud to have continually remained complaint following external audits for over 20years.
Our Health & safety commitment is to safeguard all those involved or affected by our operations, and we pride ourselves on our efforts to maintain an incident and accident free workplace.
We employ a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor, who holds the Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and the NEBOSH General and Construction certificates. Our health and safety management system, containing site inspections, audits and training is continually reviewed and updated in response to new legislation, expected construction industry standards, and our commitment to continuous improvement.
Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 we have the resources and skills to take on the role of Principal Contractor, and in doing so will plan, manage, and monitor the project, develop the construction phase plan and site rules, ensure the competence of all appointees, consult with all stakeholders and provide a secure site with suitable welfare arrangements.
Following a comprehensive review of our performance, we have developed and implemented an action plan designed to strengthen our health and safety culture and improve the performance of our employees and supply chain.
Initiatives introduced include increased training at all levels, consulting and including our staff in the planning of works, and carefully measuring our performance. As a result of these initiatives, we can ensure that all of our sites are well organised with a good health and safety culture, thus enabling projects to be delivered in an efficient and successful manner.
